June: Plein Air Painting with Janice McDonnell
Drop in for a relaxed afternoon of plein air painting with Brooklyn-based artist Janice McDonnell. Using water based acrylic paints, participants will be encouraged to observe the landscape, experiment with color and form, and connect with the environment through open-ended exploration. All materials provided—no experience necessary!
Janice McDonnell is a Brooklyn-based artist whose work explores memory, adaptation, and the urban environment. She has led plein air painting workshops with the Gowanus Conservancy and organized painting meetups across the city. With a focus on painting, her work delves into the complexities of urban landscapes and societal narratives.
