The Washington Square Park Conservancy proudly supports a wide array of free public programming. We partner with local businesses and artisans to bring options for kids and adults of all ages and abilities. All events listed are hosted by WSPC unless otherwise noted.

Dances for a Variable Population
Every Tuesday from 9:30-10:30am join Dances for a Variable Population for our Adult and Senior Movement Class. Get your body moving with fun, unique dance classes that promote strong and creative movement among adults of all ages and abilities.
Museum of Interesting Things
Every Tuesday 6:30-8:00pm. The Museum of Interesting Things is a traveling virtual or live interactive demonstration/exhibition of antiques and inventions to inspire kids and adults alike to be curious.
Yoga
Every Wednesday from 8:30-9:30am move, stretch, and start your morning off right with this open-level vinyasa class. Bring your own yoga mat, and we recommend a bottle of water.
Pétanque
Every Wednesday 12-4pm. Interested in learning to play pétanque? Stop by the Washington Square Park pétanque courts for free lessons and casual play.
Art in the Park
Every Wednesday from 3-5pm let your creativity flow with a wide range of craft projects for kids of all ages and abilities. Activities change week to week, you never know what fun Miss Debbie will have waiting!
Salsa Social
Every Wednesday 6-9pm. Dancers of all ages and skill levels come together at this weekly Salsa party. Kick things off with a free class from 6-6:30pm and then open dancing the rest of the evening with incredible instructors from Mi Salsa Dura Baile.
bodyART
Every Thursday 8:30-9:30am. bodyART is a PTBT (physical therapy based training) movement experience. Break a sweat and be gentle on your joints as we explore joyful movement. Please bring your own workout mat or towel and we recommend a bottle of water.
Double Dutch
Every Thursday 6:00-7:00pm. Learn to double dutch! The Double Dutch Aunties will teach you the fundamentals of street-style and competitive jump rope.
Weekend Community Clean Up
Spend the second Saturday morning of each month volunteering with us and give back to the park you love! Work consists of weeding, raking leaves, mulching, planting, and other projects – whatever is necessary to keep Washington Square Park clean, safe and beautiful.
