Prohibition Jazz 16mm Film Festival Presented by the Museum of Interesting Things

See vintage 16mm short films of such greats as Billie Holiday, Duke Ellington, Louis Armstrong, Cab Calloway, Bessie Smith and so many more. Films from the early 1900’s when they were young and sweet! Between short films we will demonstrate & describe the history of music, film and photography historic items from The Museum of Interesting Things vast collection as well as items from our history of music players exhibition like the Thomas Edison wax cylinder player. So the audience gets to witness and experience artists that changed the world and the technology that facilitated that revolution of jazz, vaudeville, blues and more which later influenced Rock and Roll.
Audience members experience interactive demonstrations and the history of each item in between films.
