The Washington Square Park Conservancy proudly supports a wide array of free public programming. We partner with local businesses and artisans to bring options for kids and adults of all ages and abilities. All events listed are hosted by WSPC unless otherwise noted.

Art Meets Books

Every Thursday from 3-5pm art and books collide with enriching activities for children ages 12 and under. Our friends from the Portable Museum Project are bringing fun projects inspired by some of your favorite books, read by Hudson Park Library. Activities change week to week, see below more…
Double Dutch

Every Thursday 6:00-7:00pm. Learn to double dutch! The Double Dutch Aunties will teach you the fundamentals of street-style and competitive jump rope.
Early Childhood Music & Movement

Every Friday Children aged 16 months to 4 years, and their parents/caregivers are invited to explore their first music and movement experiences while also building vital social skills.
Hand Percussion & Community Composition for Kids

Every Friday elementary school children aged 5 – 12 years are invited to a weekly hand percussion and community composition workshop with our friends at Church Street School for Music and Art!

Weekend Community Clean Up

Spend the second Saturday morning of each month volunteering with us and give back to the park you love! Work consists of weeding, raking leaves, mulching, planting, and other projects – whatever is necessary to keep Washington Square Park clean, safe and beautiful.
