JULY: MIXED MEDIA PORTRAITURE WITH ANNIE LEGNINI

In the Bronx Faces-inspired portraiture workshop, participants will create portraits of themselves or
another participant using mixed media materials. The goal of this inspired portraiture project is to create portraits of ourselves that make up not only what a person looks like, but the foundation of who we are at this point in time (which includes personality, energy, interests, beliefs, and so on). The instructor will facilitate a respectful, comfortable environment that allows participants the space for reflection and ‘deep seeing’ of one another. Participants will be given interview questions by Bronx Faces and base their portraits off of the answers. Participants who arrive with a friend are encouraged to make portraits of one another, and solo participants can create a portrait of themselves or another solo participant.

All materials provided by Washington Square Park Conservancy.
