On Saturday, January 12^th and Sunday, January 13^th, NYC Parks’ annual MulchFest Chipping Weekend will take place at Washington Square Park from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00p.m. Bring your holiday tree to be recycled into mulch that will nourish plantings across the city or your own garden.

This year, be one of thousands of New York households to help the environment and the community by bringing your tree to Washington Square Park.

Remember to remove all lights and decorations before bringing your tree for mulching.

Patrons are encouraged to take advantage of the free mulch available at each chipping site. Free mulch collection bags are provided for your convenience.
