You make Washington Square Park vibrant.

January 7 2026

Happy New Year! I’m writing to share some very exciting news for Washington Square Park. Because of so many dedicated park lovers like you, we not only met our goal for our year-end fundraising campaign, we exceeded it.

Your past support has been pivotal to our growth. We are so grateful for your significant contributions that make Washington Square Park more vibrant and ensure it has the resources to thrive, year after year.

We are deeply moved by our community of donors. In the last month, 1 in 6 of our supporters made a first time donation to the Conservancy. We are also inspired by the abundance of donors who chose to double or even triple their gift this year. The impact of this expanded support will be felt throughout the park, and we are so grateful.

This holiday season, we introduced a brand new way for park lovers to support our work, successfully launching a new plant dedication program. And your response has been beyond enthusiastic, dedicating beloved plants in the park to your loved ones, from cherry blossoms to milkweed to witch hazel. We can’t wait to see all that blooms in the park this year thanks to your support.

Thank you. This outpouring of support affirms what you already know: Washington Square Park matters.

2026 is shaping up to be a very exciting year in our park, and we can’t wait to see the wonderful achievements we will accomplish together.

If you want to show Washington Square Park some love as we kick off a new year, it’s not too late to make a donation. Your gift of any amount will have a huge impact as we plan for our biggest year yet in the park.

Thank you for your support! We are so glad you’re a part of the Washington Square Park Conservancy community.

All the best for the New Year,
Ashley Eyen
