Summer Street Theater is one of the delights of the season and has been central to Theater for the New City‘s mission since the organization’s first such production in 1976. TNC has been unwavering in its commitment to provide New Yorkers in all five boroughs with an original, free street theater musical each year, and this year is no different. Although COVID-19 means that the performance cannot take place in Washington Square Park, as they say in show business: “the show must go on!”

On Saturday, August 29th tune in at 2:00pm for a live VIRTUAL performance of, “LIBERTY or JUST US, A City Parks Story.”
